Scott Allen
My name is Scott Allen and I'm originally from Seattle, Wa. I Currently reside in Los Angeles, Ca., where I've been deejaying for over ten years. While coming up as a Deejay, I was heavily involved in the U.S. breakbeat scene. I got started In 1994 when I teamed up with my deejay partner, Tim Andren, and together we formed the group called Neosoul. We toured for many years and played a countless number of gigs entertaining the crowds with our 2 x 4 performance (2 deejays and 4 turntables). I always loved Drum & Bass, but over the last four or five years, I've come to appreciate it as my favorite genre to produce, deejay, and collect. I've been blessed to be able to write music and release music on many different labels. You can find my releases on Soul Deep Recordings, Fokuz Recordings, Celsius Recordings, Expressions, Intelligent Recordings, Have-a-Break, Stepping Forward, Liquid Brilliants, Deeper Vision, Textures Music Group, & Phuzion Digital. There are many Scott Allen releases to look forward to in 2012. Telluric Recordings will be releasing a full length album in October highlighting some of my new work that I've completed. New label, Sheer Velocity will be releasing a two track EP as Scott Allen teams up with Brazilian artist Simplification. Also, Sonata Recordings will be featuring a Scott Allen EP soon, and I'll have some work on Fokuz, Celcius, and Influenza Recordings coming out in the near future. In January 2011 I launched my first record label called Soul Deep Recordings and have managed to create an amazing roster of artists to release on the label, including: Jrumhand, Phat Playaz, Duoscience, Blade, Muwookie, Arp-1, Flowrian, Macca, Stunna, Paul T, MJT, mSdoS, Pulsaar, Against, Imagery, Part Affair, Sevin, Kredit, Skeletone, Silence Groove, Submatic, Qumulus, Flame, Lm1, Soulculture, Tidal, Andrezz, Deeper Connection, Scott Allen, and many more… Soul Deep takes pride in searching out well known artists, as well as more obscure and up and coming ones to help put out the best D&B music possible. And to help deserving artists get their music in stores to help them get their music and their names out there.
