Residing in Greenville, SC (aka the birthplace of ‘chillwave’), Noah records multi-layered, lo-fi electronica under the name HARD MIX. His compositions are tender, intricate weavings of organic sounds and vocal samples that stay stuck on the tip of your tongue for days, until midway through the grocery check-out aisle it finally hits you that you’ve been humming along to Marvin Gaye and The Supremes. It’s not that these voices aren’t familiar, it’s just that you’ve never heard them played back 20 miles in the distance from behind the electric colors of sunset, or looking down off a rocky ledge at the fish trying to keep pace against a quickly moving stream.
